Nazca San Pedro Cactus
Description
Latin Name:
Trichocereus Pachanoi
Short Description:
The San Pedro is the most visually linear, straightest-growing species of columnar cacti available. Our San Pedro cacti are extra large (3-4 ft.) premium specimens, shipped bare root.
Description:
Native to the high altitude environments of the Andes Mountains in Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, the San Pedro has been prized as a sacred plant by the indigenous people for thousands of years. This species of cacti grows tall, perfectly straight stems in rich pastel green hues from blue-green to yellow-green (depending on age and sunlight). Planted indoors, the San Pedro requires very little care and adds a clean, vertical design element to any interior space. Planted outdoors, the fast-growing San Pedro can reach over 20 feet.
Care:
The San Pedro cactus craves full to partial sun and fast draining, course-blend cactus soil. Plant indoors in a bright, sunny environment (ideally near an east or south-facing window). Water every few weeks in spring and summer months and refrain from watering in colder winter months. For a more detailed, comprehensive care guide for San Pedro click here.
