Description

Latin Name:
Pachycereus Marginatus

Short Description:
The Mexican Fence Post is one of the most striking and aesthetically clean looking species of cactus available. Our Mexican Fence Post cacti are extra large (3-4 ft.) premium specimens, shipped bare root.

Description:
Native to the sub-tropical areas of Southern Mexico, this columnar-style cactus grows tall, fleshy green stem posts with vertical stripes of brilliant white spines. Planted indoors, the Mexican Fence Post requires very little care and adds a visually stunning, bold design element to any interior space. Planted outdoors in the hot sun, this species of cacti can reach up to 20 feet and produce fragrant white, pink, and light red blooms in the spring.

Care:
The Mexican Fence Post craves direct sun, dry desert air and fast draining, course-blend cactus soil. Plant indoors in a bright, sunny environment (ideally near an east or south-facing window) away from humidity. Water sparingly every few weeks in spring and summer months and refrain from watering in colder winter months. For a more detailed, comprehensive care guide for Mexican Fence Post click here.
